Scott's Liquid Gold is an all-American company based out of Denver, Colorado, that has been in business for sixty years. They offer a wide array of household products, including concentrated air fresheners and wood cleaners. They even have a cosmetics brand -- Neoteric Cosmetics.
Scott's Liquid Gold "Clean Screen" cleaner is an awesome two-part spray and cloth kit; you receive one 6.5 fluid oz. bottle and one suede micro fiber cloth. It is specially formulated to be used on delicate and valuable electronics, or certain types of glass/windows. It can clean laptops, HDTV's, cell phones, IPads/IPods, Kindles, cameras, gaming systems, monitors, DVDs/CDs, etc. Clean Screen is also gentle enough for sunglasses, regular glasses, or even tinted windows in cars. Clean Screen offers Reverse Osmosis technology in its spray -- a water treatment system that "removes molecules of mineral deposits and impurities smaller than the water molecules themselves". The cloth portion of the Clean Screen system is lint-free, non-abrasive, highly absorbent, and quick to dry. It applies the Reverse Osmosis treatment and can be washed and reused many times.
Special Features include:
- No ammonia, alcohol, or tap water
- No residue
- No streaking and no smudges
- No deteriorating, discoloring, or harming delicate surfaces
- Crystal clear clean
Here are the directions listed on Clean Screen -- see how easy the application process is?
1. Turn off screen
2. Spray the microfiber cloth (not the screen) with Clean Screen. Only one spray is needed for small screens, and 2-4 for larger screens. The cloth does not have to be damp to work.
3. Gently wipe the screen until dust, dirt and fingerprints are gone. Repeat if necessary. When the cloth becomes soiled, rinse with warm water and allow it to dry completely.
When I received Clean Screen I was very excited, because in the past I often hesitated to clean my lap-top, HDTV, and DVDs. I never knew if the general, household cleaning products (like glass or surface cleaners) that I purchased were suitable for the delicate screens or surfaces of my valuables. Also, I never knew whether to use paper towels, rags, or wash cloths along with the spray. Sometimes certain fabrics or even paper products can be harsh and scratchy -- I know, because when I use them to dry my hands or my face I can really feel the difference between smooth and abrasive. Since I rarely clean my screens for fear of scratching them, they often collect a layer of dust and dirt. My mom actually told me that her computer screen was getting dingy, so I decided to surprise her and use Clean Screen to remove the dust when she wasn't in the room. I took before and after pictures for you all to see below.
When she saw the lap-top again she said "Wow!" and then went on about how shiny and perfect it looked. When I told her that I had used Clean Screen on it, she told me she gives the product two huge thumbs up. As you can see, the Clean Screen system makes a big difference, clearing away mostly all of the finger-prints, dirt, and dust. The best part of Clean Screen is that it does its job quickly, and its extremely easy to use! It is just as effective as it claims, and I don't have to worry about the safety of my screen. I won't allow my lap-top and my TV to gather dust anymore, for sure!
