If you didn't see my last post about Noxicare, you should check it out to learn more about the company in general and the great, natural pain relief cream that they offer. I was happy to find that they ALSO carry a small line of other nutritional supplements.
Noxicare makes an Antioxidant formula (for healthy liver function, healthy collagen production, and oxidation protection), Joint Support (for healthy cartilage and inflammatory response), Omega-3 (for blood circulation and inflammatory response), Once Daily/Women's Once Daily Vitamins (for normal cell growth and immune health), and Vitamin B-12.
The Vitamin B-12 tablets have the following benefits (as taken from the Noxicare website):
- Helps convert food into energy
- Essential for red blood cell formation
- Helps maintain nervous system health
- Helps maintain a healthy homocysteine level, important for cardiovascular health
The Noxicare Vitamin B-12 tablets are great because they contain NO salt, sugar, dairy, yeast, wheat, gluten, soy, corn, preservatives, or artificial colors/flavors. They are a great natural alternative to many of the supplements found on the shelves at the store today.
They do contain (besides the 500 mcg of Vitamin B-12, as cyanocobalamin) dicalcium phosphate, modified cellulose, vegetable stearin, cellulose gum, magnesium stearate and silica. The 500 mcg is a large enough dose that you can be sure your energy will reach its peak.
Adults take one tablet daily with meals. I prefer this to other brands where you have to take two and the bottle seems to run out incredibly fast. Right now, money is tight, so I'd like to get as many tablets as possible for the lower price!
Noxicare was nice enough to send me my own 100-count bottle of Vitamin B-12 to review, so that I could share my opinion with you. My mom and I decided to split the Vitamin B-12 tablets, because we are both in need of an energy boost. My mom was just diagnosed with severe sleep apnea, which has contributed to a decline in energy over the past 10-15 years. I feel as though this supplement, along with her new CPAP machine, will aid in restoring some of her endurance.
We both liked that Noxicare's Vitamin B-12 tablets were not "horse pills" like some vitamins -- they were relatively small and easy to swallow. They did not have a disgusting after-taste and they did not leave a chalky texture in our mouths. We are happy to be able to integrate these vitamins into our daily routine. I know that I can only gain from taking them; I don't have to worry about ingesting artificial anything. I am only doing my body justice. I hope that after the bottle runs out, I will have noticed an increase in my overall energy level. I am about to start medical school and I have this horrible tendency to fall asleep on my desk during lectures...perhaps these vitamins will help!
