Nacho Mama Tees: Review and Giveaway!

Nacho Mama Tees was founded in 2004, by Bill Kingston, at Ithaca College (which is actually incredibly close to my house). At first, just a few t-shirts were sold as a final project for an e-Commerce class. When the t-shirts picked up in popularity, Bill decided to extend the project into a business! In 2007, the company had expanded enough for Bill and his wife to move the company from their home in Rochester, NY, to an office space. Then, in 2012, Nacho Mama Tees began operating out of a full sized warehouse, with 8 full time and 1 part time employees.

Nacho Mama Tees strives to bring you original and humorous t-shirts that are made out of quality materials. Around 80% of their t-shirts have custom designs from the company, and the other 20% come from partner companies, such as Junk Food, Ripple Junction, David & Goliath, and Goodie Two Sleeves. They also operate a screen-printing shop for customers and businesses alike.

Although there are far too many t-shirts on Nacho Mama Tees to introduce you to, here are the categories you can explore:
  • Kid's Tees and Baby Shirts
  • Women's T-Shirts
  • Men's T-Shirts
  • Cool T-Shirts
  • Movie T-Shirts
  • 80's T-Shirts
  • Cheap T-Shirts
  • Dog T-Shirts
  • Funny T-Shirts
  • Graphic T-Shirts
  • Hilarious T-Shirts
  • New Tees
  • Novelty T-Shirts
  • Offensive T-Shirts
  • Retro T-Shirts
  • Sweatshirts and Hoodies
  • Vintage T-Shirts
  • Maternity T-Shirts
  • Gay Pride T-Shirts

Here are a few of my favorites that I found while browsing the Nacho Mama Tees' website:

Element of Surprise t shirt

I love the Chemistry reference on this t-shirt, because I'm a Science dork!

Dont Drink and Derive T Shirt

This t-shirt brings me bad memories of Calculus, but it is too funny to pass up.

Died of Dysentery T-shirt

I loved this game! This t-shirt is so cute because this was one of the most annoying messages you could get in Oregon Trail.

Nacho Mama Tees was nice enough to send me my choice of any t-shirt from their website to review, so that I could share my opinions with you. I chose to review the "Running - We All Need a Little Motivation" T-Shirt.

I found this t-shirt in the Women's section of Nacho Mama Tees' website. It is also available as a men's t-shirt, and can be ordered in sizes small through XXL (add $2.00 for this size). It retails for $16.99 normally, but right now you can get it on sale for just $13.59! This t-shirt has the following features, according to the Nacho Mama Tees' website:
  •  Great Colors
  •  Soft, Stylish, Versatile
  •  Quick Shipping through USPS
  •  High Quality, Lightweight, Soft Cotton T-shirts
I loved this shirt, because the message and the graphic are both very funny. It says "Running - Sometimes we all need a little motivation", and it shows a picture of a T-Rex dinosaur chasing a person. Lately, this is exactly how I feel! Although it was hard to choose a shirt at first, when I saw this one, it screamed "new gym t-shirt!". I can only imagine the kind of looks I am going to get when I finally get back to the gym and start running on the treadmill again. I chose this shirt so that I could be ironic; I like the sarcasm behind it. I really do need some motivation to start running again, but that isn't going to be in the form of a dinosaur chasing me. This shirt will help me feel a little better at the gym, because then I feel like I'm advertising the fact that I am getting back into the swing of things, and that I may not be the best runner in the gym.

I asked to receive a medium, and the t-shirt had a very snug fit. I would suggest going up a size if you want some extra wiggle room (for women), or even ordering a men's t-shirt in your size, if you would rather have a baggy fit than a form-fitting one. The material of Nacho Mama Tees is high quality, and is very soft to the touch. This makes it a comfortable t-shirt for just about anything, whether it be a day at home or going out to the movies. I wore this t-shirt out to run some errands one day, and I was happy to say that it did not get baggy like some cotton t-shirts do throughout the day. I threw it into the wash, but I did not put it in the dryer; I hung it on my drying rack to avoid shrinking. Below I have a few pictures of myself in the t-shirt -- please ignore the weird angles, I was working with what I could! :)
