Saint Patrick Day Shirts: Review and Giveaway!

 st patricks day shirt

Saint Patrick Day Shirts was founded in 2004, by Bill Kingston, at Ithaca College (which is actually incredibly close to my house). At first, just a few t-shirts were sold as a final project for an e-Commerce class. When the t-shirts picked up in popularity, Bill decided to extend the project into a business! In 2007, the company had expanded enough for Bill and his wife to move the company from their home in Rochester, NY, to an office space. Then, in 2012, Saint Patrick Day Shirts began operating out of a full sized warehouse, with 8 full time and 1 part time employees.

Saint Patrick Day Shirts strives to bring you original Irish and St. Patrick's Day shirts that are made out of quality materials. Around 80% of their t-shirts have custom designs from the company, and the other 20% come from partner companies, such as Junk Food, Ripple Junction, David & Goliath, and Goodie Two Sleeves. They also operate a screen-printing shop for customers and businesses alike. Don't see a design you like? You can contact Saint Patrick Day Shirts to customize your own shirt!

Although there are far too many t-shirts on Saint Patrick Day Shirts to introduce you to, here are the categories you can explore:
  •  Kid Tees and Baby Shirts
  • Women's T-Shirts
  •  Men's T-Shirts
  • Sweatshirts and Hoodies
  •  Maternity T-Shirts
  • Gay Pride T-Shirts

Here are a few of my favorites that I found while browsing the Saint Patrick Day Shirts website:

Drinks well with others T-shirt

This is the perfect shirt for St. Patrick's Day -- I know that I am always at the parade or at a party, and everybody tries to find a green shirt that is more funny and more original than everyone else's. I actually have not seen this design when I am walking around on St. Patrick's Day, so that is saying something!

St Patricks Day Flipup Shirt

I have never seen a shirt like this! I wouldn't suggest this for any women (especially on St. Patrick's Day), but it is a pretty cool concept for anyone who is comfortable pulling their shirt up. This is a really creative way to stand out at a St. Patrick's Day party.

Keep Calm and Leprechaun Shirt

I am usually not the biggest fan of the "Keep Calm and" trend, but this shirt is actually cute. I like the modern design.

Saint Patrick Day Shirts was kind enough to send me my choice of t-shirt from their website, so that I could conduct a review and share my opinions with you. I chose the "Pouring Shamrock Tee".

I found this t-shirt in the Women's T-Shirt section of the Saint Patrick Day Shirts website. You can order it in sizes small through XXL (pay $2.00 extra for this size), and in Men's or Women's. It retails for $16.99. According to the Saint Patrick Day Shirts website, the "Pouring Shamrock Tee" has the following features:
  • Great Colors
  • Soft, Stylish, Versatile
  • Quick Shipping through USPS
  • High Quality, Lightweight, Soft Cotton Tshirts
I chose this shirt because I was looking for one that I would be able to wear during class or other outings when it gets closer to St. Patrick's Day. Some of the shirts on the Saint Patrick Day Shirts' website might be more appropriate to wear to the parade or out to the bars on the actual holiday, but not so appropriate for class. The Pouring Shamrock Tee had a very simplistic, cute design that I have not seen before at any other store. It features a pitcher of beer overflowing, with the beer forming a shamrock. This is definitely my style. I would love to see some more of the t-shirts on the Saint Patrick Day Shirts' website having different color options. I really like black t-shirts, but I liked this design the most (over the designs on the black shirts), so I decided to go with it. I can't wait to wear this out around St. Patrick's Day! Last St. Patrick's Day, I ended up having to wear my green jacket because I couldn't find any green shirts tossed in with my things. This time around, I won't have any trouble finding something to wear.

I ordered the Pouring Shamrock Tee in medium, though it was a bit more snug than I had expected. If you are purchasing a women's shirt, expect to order a size higher, or expect the shirts to be form-fitted. I usually go for the form-fitted because I think they look better when paired with jeans. Instead of covering your body, they accentuate it. I do also like extra gym shirts, however, which I prefer to be a less fitted and more baggy style. The shirt was very soft and made from quality material. My boyfriend really liked the color and the design on the t-shirt. I am a little worried about sweating in it since it isn't a dark color, but I guess when St. Patrick's Day rolls around, it will be cold outside anyway! Here are a few pictures - sorry that they aren't the best quality.
