So, as you may have noticed, I am starting to make some new changes to my blog, starting with...a new domain name! I have officially relocated to http://thesecond-thought.com, though you can still reach me through my blogspot address as well. I want to add more of my personal flair, so I thought I would start with the next biggest event in my life...moving to a new apartment! I currently live in Upstate New York and I am making the trip to Biddeford, Maine in order to attend medical school. One problem? Medical school applications have sucked up my funds. I am not one to compromise on style, and I want my new apartment to be chic, even if I'll only have time to study in it!
That's where this decoration challenge comes in. I decided to document the process of moving in and decorating the whole apartment, and I know that with your help and with the help of some wonderful sponsors, I can make something out of nothing! I am looking for creative DIY projects (that won't leave too much damage) and to discuss moving tips and tricks with my readers. This is just one of many new ideas I have to become more engaged with you all, and so that you can learn more about me and what I am going through.
Below I have posted some pictures of what the apartment currently looks like. Mind you, I do NOT yet have any pictures of the apartment sans furniture and stuff -- this is just what the current tenants have provided me with. I am expecting the "blue print" with measurements to come in the mail tomorrow. I am moving in on July 21st, and school starts on August 5th, so I should have plenty of time to work my magic. Try to envision the apartment bare, and in need of some awesome decor!
For this special, long event I am seeking company sponsors specifically for household, appliance, and decor related items to help me furnish and decorate on a tight budget. In exchange, as always, I am looking to provide a thorough review and much media exposure. You will be a part of a process that will be well documented! I am reaching out to some companies myself, but if you are interested in sponsoring a review, please contact me at email@example.com. To my readers -- ideas, comments, or suggestions? I'd love to see what you have done with your spaces.
