My boyfriend and I were very excited to test Fave juice -- it is not yet available in any of our local stores, but we had heard good things about it from several blog posts and through other websites. I loved the idea of a healthy juice that wasn't full of sugars and additives. So many times we see juice at the grocery store, of any variety, and automatically assume that it is in some way nutritional, or at least better than your standard soft drink. That really isn't the case, as so many juices and juice blends have just as many calories and carbs as soda. In fact, many of them have less than 50% real fruit juice (I wonder what the rest of that juice contains..) and high levels of high fructose corn syrup. I was attracted to Fave because the ingredients were pure, the flavors sounded great, and it actually seemed like a product I would be proud to add to my future diet plan. I think that a lot of people get tripped up with the words "diet" and "light" -- sometimes the foods and drinks that will most supplement weight loss don't advertise as such. Fave kept me feeling full longer, and it was great because I knew that by drinking it, I was getting more of the vitamins, fruits, and vegetables that I need day-to-day. During school, we are currently assessing our diets, and I realized that mine is very much lacking in both fruits and vegetables, and is too high in grain and protein. I love vegetables, but I don't often have the time to cook the ones I like now that I am studying. Fave is an awesome way to get your daily amount of vegetables. For those of you who aren't interested in vegetables, that's okay, because you honestly won't even realize that you are consuming them! It's kind of like killing two birds with one stone, and enjoying it at the same time.

Besides the great low-calorie content, the vitamins, and the natural ingredients, Fave has really wonderful flavors! Do not expect that sugary, fake taste that many juice blends have; Fave tastes as all-natural as it is. I found myself actually appreciating the fruits that I was tasting, because instead of the artificial version, it actually was like squeezing the fruit out myself. I am not a huge fan of too much sugar, both because of the taste and the number that it does on your teeth -- I really liked Fave's use of natural sugar in fruits (with the supplementing vegetables), because they tasty all on their own. My favorite flavor was the Strawberry Banana Kiwi. Although it has a vegetable juice blend, I really only tasted the fruit. This would be an incredible base to a smoothie -- that's what I thought when I was drinking it. It was really refreshing and had a unique flavor. This is a huge difference from some vegetable juice blends that I have tasted...sometimes even when they add fruit, I can't get over the taste of tomatoes. My boyfriend's favorite flavor was the Orange Tangerine Pineapple. He barely saved any for me! He thinks that it would be a great post-workout drink, and thought that it had a nice tang and interesting flavor. Although those were our favorite flavors, we both agreed that the Pomegranate Blueberry Goji was awesome as well. I love anything with goji or pomegranate in it, and this juice had a blend that really worked well together. In general, I would highly suggest Fave Juice to anyone who loves fruit, needs more vegetables in their life, and is trying to lead a more healthy lifestyle. You won't be sorry!
