Butterfinger Bites: Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

I'm sure you have all heard of Nestle's famous Butterfinger... but have you tried Butterfinger Bites? They have that same, addictive flavor as the Butterfinger bar, but they are snack-sized treats. They are available in the standard 10 oz stand-up bag, a king-sized bag, or concession size. The bags are resealable, which make Butterfinger Bites the perfect snack to have around, regardless of your diet. Eat just one or two and space out your dessert, or take a handful! That is one of my favorite aspects of the Butterfinger Bites -- I don't have to commit to the whole candy bar if I don't want to.

These are a great treat to have on the kitchen counter for the family, or to use during baking. Butterfinger Bites are easy to crush, making them the ideal ingredient for any of your favorite desserts. I used almost the entire bag on a large batch of cookies, and then saved the remainder to sneak into the movies with me.

Each Butterfinger Bites bag contains approximately seven servings, with each serving size at eight pieces. The servings are only 180 calories each, and you can see the full ingredients list below in the pictures that I have taken. Butterfinger Bites are available at most major retailers for a reasonable price.

I didn't need to be convinced that Butterfinger Bites would taste good, as I already knew that Butterfingers are one of my favorite candy bars. I think Butterfinger Bites are even better, however, just because of their packaging and smaller size!

For my Butterfinger Bites, I turned to my mom, the expert baker. She suggested that we try making Butterfinger Bites cookies with her own chocolate chip cookie recipe. She sells cookies at a local farmer's market on a weekly basis, so you know this recipe is tried and true! As I will be mentioning in several of my posts, I had to go on blogger hiatus for awhile, not by choice (life happens) and I was unable to complete many of my reviews in a timely manner. I made these cookies around Christmas and was unable to type up my review until now. They make a great holiday treat, and are also perfect for bringing to any summer party.

Butterfinger Bites Cookies

1 cup of margarine, melted
3/4 cup Sugar
3/4 cup brown Sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon of vanilla
 2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
One 1/2 tsp of salt
One bag of crushed Butterfinger Bites

Combine melted margarine with the brown sugar and the sugar, eggs, and vanilla in a large bowl; beat by hand for 1-2 minutes. Mix the flour, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl separately and then mix into the larger bowl. Last, add the Butterfinger Bites and mix. Use a cookie scoop or spoon to place the mixture on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 for 10 minutes.

These cookies were a hit for the whole family! I think that the Butterfinger Bites are very easy to bake with, and this is coming from someone who typically uses boxed cake mixes for dessert. They have a unique little kick to them and are a great variation on the traditional chocolate chip cookie. You still get the peanut butter flavor, but in a very wholesome way -- they taste the best when they come right out of the oven and can still melt in your mouth. This is just one of many things that you can create with Butterfinger Bites; if you check out Butterfinger's Facebook page, you will find a whole collection of tasty recipes, including things such as Butterfinger Caramel Apples, Crumble Topped Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake, Butterfinger Bites Fritters, Chocolate Buttermilk Layer Cake, etc.
